🇺🇦 Kiev to build reserve crossings over Dnepr Ukraine's Infrastructure Minister Kalashnik announced that construction of emergency routes across the Dnepr in Kiev will begin next week due to damage to existing bridges. The plan involves building embankment dams and pontoon crossings to maintain traffic between the left and right banks. Preparatory works have already started following a coordination meeting with the President. The project is assigned to the Ministry, the Recovery Agency, and military forces jointly with city authorities. Construction is estimated to take up to three months, aiming to preserve at least half of the current bridge capacity. Authorities are also considering quick-assembly concrete structures and, long-term, a tunnel under the river costing tens of billions of hryvnias. @Slavyangrad
